Abstract: The aim of the research was described the morphology structures of the mud crab (Scylla paramamosain) in general and sex different, by observation method. The results indicated that the body of mature mud crab consist of two main parts were the body and five pair of legs (one pair of chelipeds, three pair of walking legs and one pair of swimming legs). The shape of carapace was rounded, elongated and slightly domed. This carapace consist of gastric region, cardiac region, branchial region, and hepatic region. The abdomen lay on the middle of the thorachic sternum. Size, abdomen shape and segment of the abdomen cover were the identification factors of the spesies. The legs consist of segments: coxa, basi-ischium, merus, carpus, propondus and dactylus. Presence of the spine on the outer side of the carpus was the spesies identicication factor. The mouth consist of three pair maxillipeds, like that lamella and covered by sillia. In anterior carapace was found a pair of antenne. The eyes with eyestalk covered by a eye cavit in anterior carapace.The sex classification based on the proportion of length of cheliped to length of carapace, size and shape of the carapace cover, presence a pairs of oviduct openings on the thorachic sternum and number and shape of pleopod.
