Abstract:	Landuse activity has giving effect to the mangrove community in the village of Passo. The impact is seen that the color change of substrate in which the substrate is a supporting factor mangrove growth. This study aims to determine the condition of the substrate mangrove forest areas Passo village through the analysis of the condition of the substrate color and grain size of the substrate. Sampling was conducted using the method of substrate Borring. The color of the substrate at the observation station 1-3 beige dominated by sediment size 0,425 mm. At the observation station 4-6, the color of the substrate tends to brown-black with the dominance of grain size 4 mm, while the observation station 7-9 deep black color of the substrate with the dominant grain size of 0.250 mm.
