Abstract:	One of the gears and methods to catching the fishes of reef is fishpot. Knowledge of fish behavior is also important in the success of the research. The purpose of the study was to determined the reaction of tiger grouper into the fishpot. The results showed that the tiger grouper approached with caution and silence before entering the fishpot for a while, and headed straight into the funnel and enter the fishpot. Conditions of light intensity affect the length and number of the fish into the fishpot where conditions are ideal light intensity from 0.5 to 200 lux.
