Abstract: Productivity of field rice in Maluku province is still low with results range between 3-4 tons GKP/ha compared with the results of the research that could reach 7-10 ton GKP/ ha. Similarly, the productivity of upland rice (gogo) reaches 0.7 ton GKP/ha compared with the results of the research GKP that could reach 3-4 ton GKP/ ha. This shows that farmers in rice production centers in the Maluku province have not adopted PTT innovation model with its 12 (twelve) technology components. To reveal the causes of the problem described above, BPTP Maluku has conducted a study of distribution patterns and determinants of the agricultural innovation implementation on specific site (PTT field rice) from June to October 2011 in Buru Regency. The methods used in this research are Focus Group Discussion (FGD) method and interview using questionnaires to collect data. Respondent samples were interviewed as many as 100 farmers in each regency. Meanwhile, rank-Spearman correlation test (rs) was used to determine the relationship between the nature of innovation factor and the delivery pattern of farmers knowledge, attitude and skill on the rice productivity. This study aims to observe the effect of the innovation delivery pattern of farmers knowledge, attitude and skill and the nature of innovation on rice productivity. The results obtained from this study are: (1) there is no significant effect of delivery pattern based on the indicators used on rice productivity in Buru Regency, (2) there is no significant effect of respondents knowledge on rice productivity, (3) there is a significant effect of respondents attitude on rice productivity, (4) there is no significant effect of respondents skill on rice productivity, (5) there is no significant effect of innovation nature indicators such as trial level, relative advantage, complexity, observation level, compatibility on rice productivity in Buru Regency (6) Majority, field rice productivity in Buru Regency is in the middle category, (7) the dominant problem facing by the respondents in implementing PTT rice in Buru Regency is influenced by external factors such as pests and diseases, limited labor, capital and irrigation damage.
