Abstract: The study of flooding risk area was carried out in Seith village, from June to September 2011. The objectives of the study were to analyze the flooding risk in the partly downstream area of Boyang cathment, and to calculate the number of biopores needed as a solution. Based on the analysis of land unit map with rating's method: 1) land use; 2) slope steepnees; 3) altitude; 4) land form and field observasition, the research areas can be classified into four flooding risk areas where: 1) area with no risk; 2) area with less risk; 3) the risk area; and 4) area with high risk. The biopores needed in each location which was determined by the type of soil, the rate of absorpsion and intensity of rainfall were 32 holes in the alluvial area, 22 biopores in the cambisol, and while in area with regosol soil was 23 biopores. The application of bipores at each class of flooding risk area at research location avoids the danger of the worst flooding risk.
