Abstract: Honey contains of many active compounds that play a role as an antioxidant include: vitamins, enzymes, organic acid, flavonoids, beta-carotene and mineral nutrients such as manganese, zinc, copper and selenium which estimated can protect the normal cells and neutralize free radicals derived from cigarette smoke that can inhibit oxidative stress in cells. The aim of this research was to determine the role of honey as an antioxidant in preventing pancreas damage of mice (Mus musculus) exposed by cigarette smoke. Twelve male mice, 2 months old and +- 20g of each weight which used in this research were divided into four groups. First group was used as control group consist of 3 mice which given no honey solution or cigarette smoke treatment, second group consist of 3 mice was exposed by smoke of a cigarette without honey solution treatment, third group consist of 3 mice was given honey solution dose 0,2 ml/20grBB mice before exposed by smoke of a cigarette and fourth group consist of 3 mice was given honey solution dose 0,4 ml/20grBB mice before exposed by smoke of a cigarette. The treatment was given every day for 30 days. The research concluded that honey has the role in preventing pancreas damage of mice (Mus musculus) exposed by cigarette smoke.
