Abstract: The early generation population of self-pollinated crops consists of the families which are homogeneous and heterogeneous. Analysis based on information from relatives of earlier generations can produce expected values of genetic parameter and the variance of quantitative traits. Modification of augmented design through the use of random check genotypes and sub sampling analysis can reveal the behavior of genetic deviation in the early generation. BLUP, i.e. the best linear unbiased predictions of mixed linear models are more accurate than the best linear predictor of the fixed effects linear model that is commonly used in the data analysis of plant breeding experiments. Systematic disturbing of environmental factors and non-additive genetic factors can be handled through the use of the generalized linear mixed model and transformed linear mixed models to generate BLUP. The high accuracy is due to the prediction of phenotypic, genotypic and breeding value carried out in accordance with the fitting probability distribution model of the responses' variables.
