Abstract: Plants are the dominant element in landscape design, used as a symbol, and have many functions. Memorial Grave Park of World War II - Australia in Tantui Ambon serves as a symbol or landmark memories from World War II and a place of pilgrimage, also used for tourism, open green space, city park, air pollutants absorbents, recreational place, shooting area, and research field. The research aimed to identify the function of the plants in the landscape design of World War II Grave Park - Australian Heroes in Tantui Ambon. The research was done December 2011 using survey and interview method. The results showed that the functions of the plants in the landscape design of Memorial Grave Park - in Ambon were as: architectural, engineering, climate control and aesthetic functions.
