Abstract:	Eggplant (Solanum melongena L) is a native plant of the tropics, this plant originated from South East Asia, including Indonesia. Eggplant is one family with pepper, tomatoes, and potatoes. These plants belong to the group of seed plants that produce seeds and an annual crop in a shape of shrubs. The purpose of this study was to list the types of weeds which were present in the planting area of eggplant in Wanakarta Village District of Waeapo. The results showed that types of weed found in eggplant planting area of eggplant in Wanakarta Village of Waeapo subdistrict were Cyperus rotundus (L), Cyperus kyllingia, Eulisina indica (L), Drymaria cordata (L), Mimosa pudica (L) and Amaranthus spinosus. The relative population density and dry weight of the most dominant weed was Cyperus rotundus L, equal to 30.27% and 58.79%, while the relative frequency of weed was the same for all types i.e 16.67%.
