Abstract:	Lead emmission to the atmosphere is generally caused by vehicles. Green strip vegetation along the road can function as absorber of polluted air. This research aimed to know lead content in the green strip vegetation along the road in DKI Jakarta. Plants used were angsana (Pterocarpus indicus) and teh-tehan (Acalypha microphylla). Research tookplace in August 1998 and used Nested Design. The research showed that the lead content in the green strip vegetation were different according to the location of the green strip and type of plants in this location. Lead content in the green strip vegetation based on plant showed that Pterocarpus indicus had the highest content in Gatot Subroto to S. Parman road and the lowest was in Acalypha microphylla in the green strip in Sudirman to Thamrin road.
