Abstract: Markets, business and information technology are rapidly changing with the changes in business environment, the companies must respond changes to winning the competition. Company's ability to respond to these changes by implementing manufacturing flexibility in addition to quality, cost and time. The porpose of this study is to analyzes the influence of flexible manufacturing competence on flexible manufacturing capabilities. This research distribute questionnaires to 54 operating managers of manufacturing companies in Yogyakarta. In this study, testing the hypothesis using multiple regression analysis and moderated regression analysis. The results showed that the flexible manufacturing competence has a positive effect on a flexible manufacturing capabilities. Its result also finds that machine flexibility, labor flexibility and material handling flexibility have no influence on volume flexibility but routing flexibility have influence on volume flexibility. Then machine flexibility and material handling flexibility have no influence on mix flexibility but labor flexibility and routing flexibility have influence on mix flexibility.
