Abstract: Maluku region has various climate conditions between regions with three rain pattern that is monsoon, equatorial and local. Some research results indicated that climate change has been occurred in this region, but very little was known about the quantity of climate change. Therefore, research was conducted to know the trend of rainfall change which has been occured in region of Maluku at three regions with the different rain patterns. This research used the rainfall data in the last 60 years (period 1954-2013) from the Meteorology Stations of Namlea, Saumlaki and Amahai as representative of monsoon, equatorial and local rain patterns respectively. Rainfall data was divided into two periods that is period I: 1954-1983 and period II: 1984-2013. Trend of rainfall change was analyzed by comparing average of rainfall (annual, seasonally and monthly) between two periods using algebra average method. Results of analysis showed that in regions with local and monsoon rain patterns, rainfall tended to increase about 12,0 - 17,8%; where increasing percentage of rainfall during the rainy seasons higher than that of the dry season. On the contrary, the equatorial rain pattern regions have no significant rainfall change both at the rainy and dry seasons; that was only around 1,5% of annual rainfall.
