Abstract:	Preliminary research about species richness of laor worm (Polychaeta) and its reproduction aspect was done in March 24 th , 2008 on Latuhalat Shore. The aims of this research were to: (1) assess species richness of laor worms on Latuhalat Shore; and (2) investigate its reproduction aspect. Method of this research was observation. Sampel were taken in the night in pelagic area by using traditional device called nyiru. Samples were preserved and then observed under stereo microscope. On this research, almost all of the samples were only epitokous part of the worm whereas one species from Nereidae family, Nereis sp., was found. Reproduction type of the laor worm was epitoky and consists of two types. First, epitoke were released to pelagic area to spawn whereas atoke were leaved on the bottom. Second, full part of the body of laor worm become epitoke and released to pelagic area to spawn.
