Abstract: This research was aimed to know whether LAS contamination induce the increase of iNOS expression in cranial kidney tissue of carp. Method used in this research was experiment by laboratory exploration based on molecular study. Experiment design used was Completely Randomize Design (CRD) with control and treatments of LAS concentration that is 0.01 mg/L, 0.02 mg/L, 0.03 mg/L, 0.04 mg/L and 0.05 mg/L. Variable perceived was iNOS expression in cranial kidney tissue of carp, with observed time based on the toxicity test procedure that is 24 hours after LAS contamination. Detection of iNOS in cranial kidney tissue of carp was conducted by immunohistochemistry method. Result of this research indicates that LAS contamination can induce increase of iNOS expression in cranial kidney of carp. The increase of iNOS expression became of all treatment of the LAS contamination concentration that is 0.01 mg/L, 0.02 mg/L, 0.03 mg/L, 0.04 mg/L and 0.05 mg/L with value of increase range from 12.50 to 16.75 % cell.
