Abstract:	Exploitation activity on molluscs resource is dominated by women and children in the Ambon Bay. The activity gets higher during east monsoon where the sea is roughly. This activity is done without paying attention to the sustainable of the resource. So, the main aim of the activity is to fulfill basic needs. The objective of the research was to identify exploitation activity done by women. It is expected that the results of the research will empower women in management of the resources. Data were collected by using transect line method and interview. The results showed that there were some species which usually were consumed such as Anadara granosa, A. antiquata, Asaphis violacens, Gafrarium tumidum, G. pectinatum, Tapes litteratus, Barbatia decussata, Marcia sp., Spondyllus sp., Perna viridis. The women always used different tools depended on substrate when doing exploitation activity
