Abstract: Six isoprenylated flafoniods, cycloheterophyllin, artoindonesianin R, artoindonesianin A-2, morachalchon A and ME2 respectively, have been isolated from the stembark of Artocarpus champeden. The isolated compounds were all tested fo their antimalarial activity against the growth of Plasmodium falciparum 3D7 parasite stage and globin degradation pathway in vitro. The result indicated that isoprenylated flavonoid compounds from Artocarpus champeden that exhibited potent antimalarial activity and inhibited the development of plasmodium falciparum parasite stages delayed from schizont to ring stage through either amino acid pathway. Therefore, the compounds are potential to be developed as new antimalarial drugs and decrease pathogenesis of malarial.
