Abstract: The research has been conducted on the crude extract of alkaloid Jackfruit flowers (Artocarpus heterophyllus Lamk) towards expression Outer Membrane Protein (OMP) Virulence Salmonella typhi. This study aims to determine the antimicrobial alkaloid from the flower extract of Artocarpus heterophyllus Lamk., against Salmonella typhi, and how to the expression affect of OMP bacteria. The result of this research indicate that the alkaloid extract of Artocarpus heterophyllus Lamk, has antibacterial efficacy to Salmonella Typhi. Top of for the optimal concertration of alkaloid based on the antibacterial MIC/MBC at concentrations <30%, against Salmonella Typhi bacteria, because at this concertration was able to inhibit or kill the cell of Salmonella Typhi. The result of SDS-PAGE analysis has isolated a protein profile that has a molecular weight of pili 76 kDa, 37 kDa, 36 kDa are important for virulence. Whereas outer membrane proteins include the BM, 34,5 kDa, 376,5 kDa, and 38,5 kDa. In addition, some proteins that are group OMP major protein with molecular weight of 19 to 144 kDa. In addition, this research has not found expression changes in outer membrane protein (OMP) virulence factors of Salmonella Typhi bacteria are exposed to alkaloid, because the research result obtained in the study are expected to stage 2 of this research grant.
