Abstract: The purpose of research is to know the influence of type and fish population density to aquatic plant Azolla pinnata growth, rice and fish weight. Research was done in the fish nursery center, Wonocatur, Banguntapan, Bantul, Yogyakarta. Research site is at 112 m up sea level. Land type is Regosol and daily temperature average is around 280C. The type of this research is field experiment that consist of two factors, and was arranged in Randomized Completely Block Design, with three replicates. The first factor is the type of fish (1) that is, Tawes fish (11) and Nila fish (12). The second factor is fish population density per meter square field sided (K), namely without fish (KO), 1 fish (K 1), and 2 fishs (K2). The result of the research showed the significant of influence between type and density fish to fish and rice weigth. The Tawes fish with density 1 and 2 fishes per m2 and Nila fish with density 2 fish per m2 gave the highest rice weight. Tawes fish with 2 fishes per m2 inhibited the growth of Azolla pinnata L. Fish density 2 fishes per m2 showed the highest result. Fish weight average of 1 fish per m2 field was higher than 2 fish per m2 field.
