Abstract: One of traditional wooden ship, type cargo passenger has been changed its form according to the will of ships owner. The purpose of the changing was to increase the cargo hold and engine room space. By changing the dimension of ship means the surface of watted area will be increase and it will be also increase the water resistance of the ship's hull. Consequently the ship's speed will be decrease because the main engine power was not be changed. By this research, can be found that the surface of watted area has been changed from S = 171 m2 before modificating to be S = 187 m2 after modificating. Concequently, the increases of the resistance was about 13% while displacement was about 23 % and ship's speed did not achieve 11,0 knot.
