Abstract: A kind of landing craft tank ship which 630 dead weight tonnage, has installed power of main enginee 300 HP / 1600 rpm. The ship's speed in operating was 5,5 knot. Related to the market demand of transportation, the ship's owner has changed the main enginee to the new one 350 HP / 1800 rpm by means the service speed would be 8,0 knot. It was however the service speed of ship after changing only reached 6,5 knot. In fact, there wa the different between the power and speed of the new main engine and the former one was not suitable by the other propulsion components system, for instance propeller diameter size and its blade area ratio.
