Abstract: Good employee performance is needed by agencies / companies. HR competency is a factor that can affect employee performance. There are five competency characteristics that can affect employee performance, namely, motives, traits, self-concept, knowledge and skills. If employees have high competence, good employee performance can be realized. This study aims to prove the influence of HR competencies which include motives, traits, self-concepts, knowledge and skills have a simultaneous and partial influence on the performance of Ambon Special Child Development Institution (LPKA) Employees. The research method used is a quantitative method. The samples used were 24 employees of LPKA Klas II Ambon. data collected using a questionnaire. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression with the help of the SPSS program. The results of this analysis indicate that HR competencies have a simultaneous and partial effect on employee performance.
