Abstract:	This study is aimed at understanding the role of women in increasing family income and factors influencing the improving of income of papalele women. This research was undertaken to three groups of informal sector., vegetable papalele women, fish papalele women and cookies retail women. Ten fish papalele women determined by Simple Random Sampling, seven vegetable papalele women as well as seven cookies retail women determined intentionally were samples in this research. The result shows that women have important roles in increasing family income, indicated by 67.05 to 75.22 %. Social economy factors related to the level of income are effort experience, production, selling price and husband income.
