| Abstract: | This article tries to study about applying the evapoclimatonomy model to estimate the regional water balance status, among others for the purpose of watershed catchment area management. Its consideration such that for the planning of watershed catchment area management, the information concerning hydrology condition reflected from the regional water balance was needed. Value of some component of water balance is difficult or almost impossible to be measured directly for a very wide area, so that the calculation to the values is required. Basic concept of simple water balance that is input is equal to output, become complex due to some factors influencing its components. Calculation of water balance can be done in some ways; one of them is "evapoclimatonomy model" which represents numerical model of hydrology cycle in a region. This way is the rational approach considering physical process that occurs. With this model, the influence of physical change of watershed catchment area caused by land use change and climate change on water balance components can be estimated. The information obtained from the model serve for the purpose as one consideration in watershed area management. |
