| Abstract: | The construction project activities involve many Human Resources. The project scope with large scale requires the project manager to manage the project well. Professionalism is a successful key in the project, which is mean as an individual of an organization member should have a professionalism to understand the scope of project work and the project could be relay on. Successful of the project is a destiny or a target of budgeting, quality, and time as a three basic criteria to achieve target. Background of the resource conducted is to define factors influences professionalism of project manager primarily building construction project in Makassar city, and to determine the most significant factors. The observation using 59 samples of company directors and applying double regression analysis supporting with program tools such as Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) 13.00 version stating that planning (X1), organization (X2), coordination (X3), leadership (X4), control (X5), improvement and development (X6), policy determination (X7) are variables that significantly influence professionalism of building construction project manager. Conclusion of the theory analysis which supported by survey and interviewing some directors of middle to large scale private companies in Makassar city are showing that if the factors of planning, organization, coordination, control, improvement and development decrease then professionalism of project manager specially building construction will also decrease. |
