Abstract: Azotobacter is bactery which able to fix nitrogen and produce phytohormone. However, Azotobacter produce exopolysaccharide (EPS) which mobile because EPS consist of organic matter which able to adsorption heavy metal such as cadmium and increasingly mobile in soil, so can easy to absorb by plant. An experiment on Azotobacter resistancy, EPS concentration, Cd in EPS and EPS composition was carried out in laboratory, arranged in Randomized Complete Design with six replicates. The results showed that 0,1 and 1 mM of CdCl2 do not have effect on Azotobacter sp isolate LKM 6 populations, however there are difference EPS concentration with CdCl2 and without CdCl2 , so that Cd can increase biosorption by EPS Azotobacter sp isolate LKM 6 and EPS composition was completed by Cd present.
