Abstract: | This study examine whether there is a relationship anomaly between the labor force rate of economic growth in the city of Ambon with to examine the effect of the labor force on economic growth. The background of this study is number of growing population will increase the number of labor force and the addition of allowing a region to increase production. But on the other hand appears an anomaly which indicates a mismatch between the labor force at a rate of economic growth due to the addition of the population is not accompanied by additional employment opportunities, resulting in economic growth of a region is not followed by an increase in the welfare of its inhabitants. This study used simple regression to examine effect of the labor force on economic growth in the city of Ambon. The data used is a secondary data drawn from the BPS and the city of Ambon Ambon in 2006-2010. The result showed that labor force has no effect on economic growth. |
