Abstract: Exploration of cassava germ plasma was conducted in May-June 2007 in three regency, i.e West Seram (SBB), East Seram (SBT), and Central Moluccas. Conservation Ex-Situ at Makariki Experimental Plantation is started from May 2007 up to now. Exploration by using survey method focused at collection of cassava germ plasma showed that it is commonly done by farmers. Results of exploration showed that, there are 26 cassava germ plasma and in conservation in Makariki Experimental Plantation. Results of observation and the data showed that accession type of cassava is potential to be developed because the process will produce different characteristics and taste which are prominent compared with others, such as Cassaca of Turn Yellow Diametrical Bar (U.KBL), Sangkola Cassava (U.SGK), Inggris-1 Cassava (U.ING1), Ternate Cassava (U.TER), Jami-Jami Cassava (U.JJ), Red Early-ripening Cassava (U.GM), and Piru Porridge Cassava (U.BPR); while type of germ plasma cassava which are critical in its existence for example Jami-Jami Cassava (U.JJ), Bastel Cassava (U.BST), Red Early-Ripening Cassava (U.GM), and Piru Porridge Cassava (U.BPR), Leaf Flower Cassava (U.DBG), and Leaf Flower-1 (U.DBG1).
