Abstract:	This research was done in Taniwel subdistrict aiming to investigate the kinds of diseases which infected the cacao plant damage intensity and cultural technique of cacao plant in Taniwel subdistrict of West Seram District. Survey method with direct observation was used. Three villages were chosen, sampels were 5 cacao farmers from each village, 10% of cacao plants were taken using systematic randommized sampling. The result showed that three kinds of diseases which infected cacao plants were found in Taniwel District. The disease such as bud rod (Phytophthora palmivora) at 21.8% damage intensity with light criteria, stem cancer (P. palmivora) at 15.1% damage intensity with light criteria and horse tail disease (Marasmius sp.) 5,67% damage intensity with light criteria.
