Abstract: Melinjo (G. gnemon L.) is a plant with a biopesticide potential. A research about the antifeedant activity of ethanol extract of melinjo leaves against the oriental leafworm moth larvae (S. litura fab.) on cabbage (B. sinensis L.) has been done in January 2014. The aim of the research was to find out the effective of ethanol extract of melinjo leaves (G. gnemon L.) on the larvae of oriental leafworm moth (S. litura Fab.). The experiment was conducted in a completely randomized design with five different concentration of the leaf extract (0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20%) and three replications. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by Tuckey analysis at 95% confidence interval were used to analyze the data. The result show that treatments with 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% of melinjo leaf extract result in 27,10%, 45,30%, 46,60%, 80,50% of feeding resistance, respectively. ANOVA and Tuckey analysis show that ethanol extract of melinjo leaves exhibited significant antifeedant activity on the larvae of oriental leafworm moth (S. litura Fab.) at 20% concentration.
