Abstract: Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) is the leading cause of death in the world. Many factors known as CHD risk factors such as hypertension. This study in Eti Village aimed to determine the proportion of patients with hypertension based on the characteristics of age, gender, occupation, education level, family history, diet, body mass index, smoking and drinking alcohol. The type of this research is survey descriptive with primary data. The sample used for the measurement of blood pressure is 100 people. The results showed that 40% of respondents had hypertension. 52% of hypertension patients are female gender, 67.5% were 56 years or older, 50% had obesity, 45% of patients had a primary school education, 57% were farmers, 35% had a family history of hypertension, 45% of patients are Excessive salt consumption, 85% con- sumed staple foods of rice, 75% consumed fish, 27.5% of patients were smokers and 27.5% consumed alcohol.
