Abstract: The purpose of this study is 1) to review the slope of the northern coast of the Ambon island; 2) examine the distribution and characteristics of sediment and 3) examines the relationship between the slope of the beach with the distribution of sediments along the north coast of the Ambon island. Sampling method, sampling, grade calculation based large beach slope angle and slope percentage beach. The distribution of sediments based on statistical analyzes of sediment. Results showed that the grade slope north coast of the Ambon island varies from flat to steep . Where the beach Morela, Hitu (Hitu Lama and Hitu Meseng) and Hila has a class smaller than the slope of the beach Wakal and Kaitetu . Distribution of sediment Ambon Island's northern coast to the west (Waka, Hila and Kaitetu) tend to be dominated by sedien with the coarse fraction. Slope of the beach is not directly related to the distribution of sediment.
