Gastrointestinal symptoms that most frequent were epigastric pain, nausea and constipation. The symptoms more frequent in diabetic patients with uncontrolled glycemic status than controlled status (34.4% vs 18.1%) and glycemic status was significantly associated (p=0.003, RR=2.107). Gastrointestinal symptoms more frequent in patient with diabetic duration <10 years than :::10 years (37.7% vs 14.8%), but diabetic duration was not associated with gastrointestinal symptoms(p=0.963).
