| Abstract: | Children of under five years are considered as critical to grow and development period. This period characterized of irreversible will be recurring. Intervention programme aims to maximize this period is very needed. Research aims to obtain effect of counseling and stimulation on growth and nutritional status child of under five year age in Municipality Cimahi. Quasi experimental with two group before and after design.80 child under five years were teken by sample and grouped by a treatment and control. Data was collected to covers such as: sample characteristics, anthropometry, exclusively breastfeeding practices (ASI) and weaning food practices (MPASI), growth aspect. Data was analyzed by SPSS version 12.0. counseling and stimulation was given by student of during twice per month along two months intervence. Finding showed that there were difference on growth and development of group treatment and control. The treatment group of before and after intervention were shown very good achievement compare to control. Intervention have also been manifestly given change on growth and development, but that way the difference change of among treatment group and control less be provable statistically. This research have shown descriptively role on growth and development of children under five years. Futher research in posyandu should be continued which respect to pay attention in more homogeneous sampling conditions, and sample selection by of screening of early in choosing in treatment and control groups sample. |
