Abstract:	The aim of the research to know appearance process resistance of farmer to plan development of plantation of sugar cane on South of Aru District sub-province Aru Archipelago. This research use qualitative descriptive analysis method. Result of research indicate, process resistance of farmer to plan development of plantation of sugar cane on South of Aru District by means of three stage, namely: (1) discussion with clan members, (2) result of discussion distribute to custom institute by means of clan chief, and (3) custom institute have deliberation to countryside head, namely refuse attendance of plantation of sugar cane. Farmer make against to plan development of plantation of sugar cane on South of Aru District, with two especial reason that is, cannot hunt and garden and damage environment.
