Abstract: Mardika market is one of the traditional market in Ambon City. The existence of Mardika market provides convenience to the public in meeting the everyday needs. One of the products sold in Mardika market is tubers. Tubers are a kind of diversity in the herbs world that have a utility value. Besides as foods, tubers also can be used as industrial raw materials and animal feed. The purpose of this study was to determine the consumer decision-making process in the purchase of tubers in the Mardika market. The samples were determined by using accidental sampling method as many as 100 respondents. The results showed that the consumer decision-making process in the purchase of tubers in the market Mardika begins with need recognition. As many as 40 percent of respondents stated that tubers are a source of carbohydrates and supplementary food menu. Search information stage by respondents was dominated by the influence of the family (77% of respondents). The next stage is the evaluation of alternatives that showed that as many as 39 percent of respondents made purchases as they are able to bargain. Furthermore, the purchase stage showed that as many as 87 percent of respondents made planned purchases from home. In the last stage which is post-purchase evaluation stage, as many as 58 percent of respondents cited that they were satisfied shopping tubers in Mardika market.
