| Abstract: | The objective of the research was to determine the perception of farmers aboout Tifa Marinyo program on Radio of The Republic of Indonesia (RRI) Ambon. The research was conducted in Dusun Telaga Kodok and Negeri Waai, Central Maluku District in October until November 2015. Locations were selected by considering the area which shortest of the range of RRI frequency, namely Dusun Telaga Kodok that dominated by vegetables farmers and the area which farthest of the range of RRI frequency namely Negeri Waai that dominated by food crops farmers. Sample size was determined by Slovin formula with 10 percent of error tolerance, so there were 92 farmers as sample from 1.195 farmers as population. The research data consist of primary and secondary data. Data were analyzed using qualitative method. The results showed that farmers perception about Tifa Marinyo Program is good. The objective of Tifa Marinyo Program is to change the behavior of rural communities by improving their knowledge, attitude and skills, but at this time conformity between farmers perception about Tifa Marinyo Program and farmers behavior in farming still low. The continuity of Tifa Marinyo Program with the clear information about farming and the availability of extension agent could be a power to change behavior of farmers to be better. |
