Abstract:	The objective of the research was to investigate the capability of cattle farmer in Teon Nila Serua to detect estrus and determine of matting time of bali cows. Survey method and direct observation in the field were used as research methods to collect data. The results showed that the farmers have good knowledge about detecting estrus (58.81%). The appearance of estrus in Bali cows signaled by sweet mucus released and the male mounting the female. Furthermore, their knowledge about determine of matting time was fairly good (80, 39%). The cows were mated immediately after the appearance of estrous.
