Abstract:	Food security in the Province of Maluku is challenged by the problem of local staple food that is substituted by imported rice. This research aim to know factors that influenced the shift of food consumption pattern from corn to rice. Research method used survey by selecting 30 households of 90 total householdâ€™s population in East Oirata village, Kisar Island. Data was analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. Research showed that factors affecting the shift in consumption patterns are work, availability, corn processing, cooking the rice technology, mixed consumption, the price of rice and household income.
