Abstract:	Nowadays, the use of information technology is inseparable from the security system which must remain a concern amongst users, because it will greatly affect the results achieved. Likewise with the products which bought and sold in large supermarkets and mini markets, the authenticity of these products need to be considered. This is very beneficial to both producers and consumers as sellers and product users, because with so many products on the market is increasing lack of clarity about the level of authenticity and expiration of the product. One solution to prevent these issues is with the product authentication system. The system is simple but secure. Product authentication code is unique and is produced in the form of barcodes. This will allow a customer to verify the product quickly. The design and implementation of this system is designed by using cryptographic methods and built in a client-server network between the stores as an agent / outlets, factories and government agencies (official authority). The software used in this implementation is visual basic 6.
