Abstract: | The axial pumps are operate at specific speeds ns > 500. In practice, this pump is founded in application on the nuclear/thermal power plant as circulation pumps, and its be applicated on irrigation/drainage systems and as a compact waterjet propulsion system for high-speed vessels. The economic of a generally pump is depending on hydraulic characteristics, cavitation and geometry of blades system, which is a product of the planning and manufacturing. Therefore blades pump must be designed specifically to minimize the total of losses energy and the risk of cavitation can be avoided. In this research an axial pump is designed to meet the needs of the circulation in the thermal/nuclear-power plant. The head pumps 40 meters and discharge 500 m3/s, which operate at temperatures of water is 294oC. Settlement of issues that include the select of the main parameters of the elements pump, hydrodynamic problem on the geometry blade impeller and blades of guide straighten is done by Voznesenki-Peking methods to provide optimal results. |
