Abstract:	Tawiri village is one of sago development areas in Ambon. This study was carried out in Tawiri village with the objective of understanding the effects of micro- * method used in this study was survey with synthetic approach and rigid-grid observation. Soil observation was conducted by boring and the profile description. The result of this study showed that on area with convex micro-relief, the effect of long-term flood has resulted in a grey soil color, low organic matter content, and the soil was classified Gleysol. On flat to convex micro-relief areas and temporarily-flooded, the soil showed that a stratified deposition of soil texture and organic matter content, and mottling were found over the soil horizons. In this area, the micro-relief effect can be seen from the differences in soil water depth level. The soil was classified as Alluvial.
