Abstract: Front contact is a factor which influence the solar cell efficiency. Front contact desain will be influence the vast of solar cell area surface that catch sun light. Because of that, finger and busbar as a part of desain parameter of front contact, and finger spacing as a factor which influence the efficiency was designed at the optimum conditions by taking into account rules of screen printing for solar cell fabrication. Two type solar cell design with tapered busbar model then fabricated, simulated using PC-1D program and tested using the Spire Corp. SPI 240A solar simulator with standard power 100 mW/cm2. They are solar cell with 2.4 mm finger spacing and solar cell with 2.7 mm finger spacing. From the results of sun simulator, the highest efficiency for type I solar cell (S=2.4 mm) are 10.26% and 10.83% for type II solar cell (S=2.7 mm). These value are lower than output of PC-1D simulation. PC-1D simulation output are 11.11% (type I solar cell) and 11.15% (type II solar cell). From the test proved that divais area influence the efficiency but not have significant effect.
