Abstract: Women on the one hand are working for a living, but still they are the first persons in the activities of households with multiple roles. This situation was evident to the women of the low * provides income but allows ongoing productive activities. The women who play double role and choose household industry (home-based production) as a way to earn a living create job opportunities for themselves and other household members. This study aims to determine: 1) profile of women entrepreneurs in rural household sago food industries in Mamala village, 2) involvement of women in household sago food industries; 3) strategy of the women to give additional income in the family, how much was the contribution of the sago food industry to household income. The method used in this research was descriptive method. Number of women for sago processing in Mamala village based on the census were 20 respondents. The data collected in the study were primary and secondary data. The method of analysis used to answer the problem of research was using qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results showed that the profile of sago processing women in Mamala village based on age composition were included in the productive age with a low education level (Elementary School), but in terms of their industry experience they were categorized as experienced with the average of 15 years in the industry. The average skills of women in sago processing into various products derived from self-study. The number of family members was also one reason for the increase of household income on sago food industries. The involvement of women in household sago food industries can be seen from the time expended and the value of household productivity of sago as Rp. 93.940/day/person. Strategy of the women entrepreneurs to earn additional household income was the use of natural capital such as land owned and land owned by a family with an allotment for farming activities. Farming activities were carried out in the evening after the household sago industries activities completed. The contribution of household sago revenue to the domestic revenue amounted to 85.97%.
