Abstract: | The objective of this research was to known the growing of Pennisetum purpureum and Panicum maximum based on intensity of solar radiation. The experiment was conducted by using the split-plot design with replications. The main plot was the species of grass, Pennisetum purpureum and Panicum maximum and the sub plot was intensity of solar radiation which consisted of three levels, 100%, 80% and 60%. Result showed that the treatment of intensity of solar radiation and species of grass gave significant respons to high plant but not for the tiller plant. The higher of high plant is Pennisetum purpureum (148.53 cm) with a intensity of solar radiation 60%. And the best number of tiller is Panicum maximum (27.40 tiller) with a 80% of intensity of solar radiation. |
