Abstract: Research objectives to be achieved in research is to study of food consumption in rural communities, Kawatu and Uraur, then to find out the nutritional adequacy rate (Energy and Protein) in rural communities Kawatu and Uraur. Sampling was conducted using systematic random retrieval method. Number of samples taken at 25 percent of 98 households to the village Kawatu, and 25 percent of the 112 families to the village Uraur. So the number of samples is as much as 53 respondents from 210 households. The study is a survey research, while food consumption data using the -recall- 1 x 24 hours method. Consumption of nutrients (energy and protein) data was calculated using the following formula: KGij = (Bj / 100) x G ij x (BDDj / 100. The nutritional adequacy rate was calculated using the following formula : AKG personal = Real body weight / Standard body weight x Energy standard according to nutritional adequacy rate list. Energy adequacy rate of respondents in Kawatu village (2081 cal /cap/hr) and Uraur village (2172 cal/cap/hr). Protein adequacy rate of respondents in Kawatu village (46 g/ cap/hr) and Uraur village (48 g/cap/hr).
