Abstract: | An engine- typed Yanmar with horsepower !! = 5,5 hp has speed n = 2200 rpm, excess air coefficient ! = 1,6, combustion pressure !!= 76 kg/cm2and compression ratio ! = 17,9. By assuming that : ambient temperature !! = 290 K, ambient pressure !! = 1 kg/cm2, coefficient of residual gases !! = 0,03, chemical composition of fuel C = 86 %, H = 13%, O = 1%, lower heat value of fuel !! = 10100 kcal/kg ,therefor how the effective pressure can produce work in every cycle. Analysis was taken to find the working cycle of the engine by using method of Grineveksky - Mazing. The result of calculations showed parameters of engine such as the pressure and temperature at the beginning of compression, pa = 0,92 kg/cm2 and Ta = 320,83 K; filling efficiency !!! = 0,85514538; pressure and temperature at the end of compression pc = 48,59 kg/cm2 and Tc = 946,72 K, the pressure increase ratio ! = 1,564; theoretical amount of air required for combustion of liquid fuel !!! ′ = 0,4945 mole/kg fuel oil ; the actual amount of air !′ = 0,7912 mole/kg fuel oi ; the total quantity of moist combustion gases !!= 0,824 mole/kg fuel oil ; the chemical coefficient of molar change !! = 1,04 ; the coefficient of molar change taking into account the residual gases ! = 1,039 ; and pressure and temperature at the end of combustion, pz = 76 kg/cm2 and Tz = 1996,91 K ; the preliminary expansion ratio ! = 1,4 ; the subsequent expansion ratio ! = 12,7857 and pressure and temperature at the end of expansion, pb = 2,932 kg/cm2 and Tb = 985,03 K ; the mean indicated pressure !!" = 8,268456027 kg/cm2 ; the corrected mean indicated pressure !! = 8,020402346 kg/cm2 ; the mean effective pressure !! = 6,36426752 kg/cm2 ; the mean effective pressure according the power formula !! = 6,369426752 kg/cm2 ; the indicated specific fuel consumption !! = 0,14931 kg/hp.hr ; the effective specific fuel consumption !! = 0,188012 kg/hp-hour.Hence, it can be concluded that pressure,temperature and heat in every cycle mostly influence efficiency of the working cycle beside ratio of compression. |
