Abstract: | Simulation method has been performed in a variety of disciplines and to bridge the preclinical learning with clinical experience that allows students to build knowledge and develop skills in dealing with various cases of the disease, both individually and in groups. Simulation methods were then developed in a learning block 2 cardiovascular system in order to determine the significance of the increase of knowledge by looking at changes in pretest and posttest. In addition, student perceptions were also assessed through a questionnaire distributed to 48 students after participating in all stages of the simulation. The results and analysis showed an increase in the value of the pretest and posttest significantly from 38.75 to 72.10 with a median value of p<0.001. Of the 48 students, 42 people returned a questionnaire with the results of the majority (60.95%) agree (Likert score 3 of 4) with simulation methods (mean = 3.12, SD = 0.62). The conclusion of this study, there is an increase in the value of pre-and post-simulation method implemented with p<0.001 and the majority of students agreed with the simulation method. |
