Abstract: This paper attempts to discuss about gender issues in relation to practices in human resource management, and specifically on two interrelated issues, namely the bias in employee performance appraisal process, in this case female employees, which will affect employees' career development concerned, and the second is the problem of barriers for women workers to develop and enhance his career. Employee's performance becomes very important, both for companies and employees. Employee performance will improve if supported by the implementation of performance management system and effective employee development system. There are several approaches in the assessment of performance, ranging from traditional to valuation system performance assessment involving multiple sources, such as 360 degree performance appraisal. One of the important problems in the assessment of performance is a valuation bias, due to various factors, both task factors and non-task factors, misalny age, race and gender. The company / organization is expected to run and ensure that each employee has received an assessment that reflects their actual performance and ensure staff received TIPA equal opportunity in improving their work.
