Abstract: Rice is important and a strategic major commodity as staple food for Indonesian community. Rice is increasingly needed every year following the increase of population. To guarantee food security, surplus of 10 ton of rice is needed. Maluku Province has obligation to succeed the program although rice production in Maluku is still low because the integrated culture technique is not yet applied and due to low educated farmers. Therefore, field school of integrated plant management needs to be improved with goal to increase rice production as much as 0.5 - 1.0 ton rice/ha. Field School of integrated plant management was established in 2008 until 2010 but the crop productivity is still low. The research aimed to evaluate the effect of field school of integrated plant management on the farmers' knowledge, skill, and attitude and also the effect on the rice production. This research using survey method with interview based on questionnaires that were delivered to 43 alumnae of field school of integrated plant management, held in Kairatu in October 2012. The result showed that conducting appropriate field school of integrated plant management to guideline was effective to increase knowledge, skill, attitude changes and also has impact to rice production. On the other hand, limited financial capital influenced the application of integrated plant management, so that the farmers applied unbalanced fertilizers and direct seeding. The Government intervene is necessary by supplying agriculture tools and fertilizer for poor farmers.
