Abstract: Genetic improvement of the multiple traits can provide meaningful advances for more than one quantitative traits simultaneously. Genetic and transgressive segregation analysis was used to evaluate multiple traits of F2 generation in mungbean varieties of the cross Mamasa Lere Butnem x Lasafu Lere Butsiw. Statistical test t and F, and biplot, were used in data analysis. The results showed that the performance of the F2 generation as well as the variance and heritability were high. Displaying of biplot graph produced aggregative sectors of branches number, simultaneous harvest index and grain yield components including multiple confidence interval sectors. Number of branches sector tends to correlate with grain yield components. Both sectors and multiple confidence interval sectors showed best multiple performances of grain yield with best genotypes as putative transgressive segregant. The genotypes with best multiple performance most of which showed high grain yield, tended to simultaneous harvest, early-maturing, had big seed and tended to dwarf. These results indicated that selection will be successful in the next generation and there was possibility of transgressive segregated fixation in early generations.
